Volunteer

If you have repair knowledge/skills and enjoy fixing things, why not join us as a volunteer at Prestwood Repair Café.

You will be helping your local community by repairing their household items, saving money and most importantly reducing the need for things going to landfill.

We’re always on the look out for new enthusiastic repairers. Are you willing to tackle whatever is brought in?

We never know what we’re going to get until it’s in front of us. If we can’t repair the item there and then we’ll try and give a diagnosis of the issues and advise a plan of action regarding spare parts. We average around an 80% success rate!

If this appeals to you then please get in touch. Contact us.

Why not come along to our next event and find out how it works and how you could get involved.

You could pop along for a session and see if you like it.

We currently have a need for anyone who is practical with electrical and electronic skills. Some informal PAT test and safety training can be given as required. Would suit someone who has a naturally inquisitive mind and who basically likes  trying to fix things. We would love for you to be part of our voluntary team.

The kind of skills/roles involved include:

  • Woodwork
  • General Repairs
  • Electrical
  • Electronic
  • Needlework
  • Sharpening
  • Catering
  • Reception
  • Watch Repairs
  • Bike Repairs

Volunteers urgently needed for woodwork, watch and bike repairs!

You will be helping your local community by repairing their household items,
