Welcome

The Prestwood Repair Café is a volunteer-led initiative dedicated to bringing the community together to repair and reuse household items, reducing waste and protecting the environment. Our regular events provide a welcoming space where neighbours of all ages can learn fixing skills, share knowledge, and help keep items out of landfill. If you have nothing to repair, come along and have a chat, coffee and a slice of home made cake!

Simply bring along your broken household items, and our skilled volunteer fixers will mend them—while you enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa. There’s no charge, but donations are welcome to help keep the initiative running. Everyone is welcome!

Over 1000 repairs completed, and counting!

These figures represent repairs booked in. There are some items each month that despite our best efforts cannot be repaired. Some repair bookings such as sharpening are for multiple items but counted as one. On occasion a spare part or special tool is needed and a repair is brought back to the next event. Generally repairs are not booked in if it is clear we do not have the necessary specialist skills available.

Come and have a cup of tea…

We welcome you to join us for tea, coffee and cakes – whether you have brought something in for repair or would just like to spend time relaxing in good company and/or seeing what we do.

Our volunteer bakers provide amazing cakes and we need people to eat them….
